Kremasti lies on the west coast of the island 12 kilometers from the capital & 3 kilometers from Rhodes International airport. It is a busy village with a few package hotels, rooms & apartments. In the center of the village is the Holy Church of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary which is also known as the "Holy Church of Panagia Katholiki", where the icon of the Virgin Mary is celebrated, on the 15th August & believers from all over Greece flock for the festival & National Crafts Exhibition that lasts for 2 weeks. The Library, which was built in 1926, is also well worth a visit & has a rich collection of books & rare publications.
